Our Mission and Vision
At the Charleston Regional Spay Neuter Center, Inc. (dba the Fix’Em Clinic), we believe every pet deserves access to high-quality veterinary care—regardless of their owner’s income. We are a nonprofit spay/neuter and wellness clinic providing low-cost, compassionate services to pets across West Virginia and beyond.
Our mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and improve animal welfare by offering affordable spay/neuter surgeries and preventive care, including vaccines, routine testing, parasite control, and more. By making these services accessible, our goal is to help keep pets healthy, out of shelters, and in loving homes.
Spaying or neutering your pet is one of the most important decisions you can make—not only for their health and behavior, but also to prevent the birth of unwanted litters. Millions of healthy dogs and cats are abandoned on thr streets or euthanized each year simply because there aren’t enough homes to go around. By choosing to spay or neuter, you're not just helping your pet—you’re part of the solution to a national crisis.
We opened our doors in February 2018, following mentorship and training from the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance. This nationally recognized program developed the gold-standard model we follow and supports clinics like ours in meeting the highest standards of quality care at an affordable cost. We are proud to be the only accredited Humane Alliance clinic in the Charleston area, and just the second in the entire state of West Virginia.
Since our founding, the Fix'Em Clinic has helped tens of thousands of pets and the people who love them. But we’re not just about numbers—we’re about impact. Every animal we serve is part of a larger mission to create a healthier, more compassionate community.
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on grants, donations, and the support of local partners who believe in our vision: a future where no healthy pet is euthanized simply due lack of space or lack of access to care. Together, we’re making a difference—one pet at a time.
